ZOO Děčín prepares a number of conservation education orientated programmes and projects for both adults and children. 

Projects on week basis:   

"Colourful week - open air art and design workshop" 15^th - 20^th September 2003 

15.-19.9. - for pupils and students

20.9. - for the general public

• September 2003 (8^th course) 
• Intended for the pupils of 1^st - 9^th class of primary schools
• Pupils and students are in touch with their work, and they themselves can draw, paint, and mould and shape potter’s clay 
• Both student and pupils have the same motto of their work: „Living nature, the world of animals“ 
• At the end of the week the best works are to be chosen and rewarded by an expert commission

• A series of informal meetings dedicated to natural history and travelling accompanied with video programmes 
• Visiting lecturers: ZOO and museum directors, travellers, conservationists, photographers, and other interesting persons 
• Venue and time: Town’s Library, always at 5pm 
• Terms: 23rd January, 27th February, 27th March

• Children’s (contact) ZOO with small races of domestic animals - feeding and petting allowed! 
• Bear’s trail or „How do you feel in bear’s skin?“ 
• „Survival game“ - you will be informed about endangered species from all parts of the world! 
• Unique children’s playground with structures for climbing difficult to get through 
• Feeding of animals - monkeys, seriemas, bears ..... 
• Special entertaining and educational programmes full of adventures, competitions, songs, and encounters with famous persons 
• International information system - inquiring questions will be answered by plates with basic data on the animals kept in the ZOO, and due to pictograms this information is universally understandable
